On 22 May 2014 London will go to the polls to re-elect all the Councillors in London’s 32 boroughs. The European Parliament elections are on the same day. Age UK London is planning to publish an age manifesto for the Council elections and we would really like to hear your views! London’s borough Councils affect the lives of older people in many ways, including:

–          Social care for adults (and children)

–          Influencing the NHS through the new  Health and Wellbeing Boards

–          Housing

–          Education

–          Transport:  Councils pay for the Freedom Pass

–          Leisure services

–          Employment/regeneration

–          Town planning

–          Waste collection

So please comment on this post to send us your views about what should be in the older people’s manifesto for the 2014 London borough elections, by Friday 20 December 2013. Look forward to hearing from you!
