Welcome to the latest Age UK London Opinion Exchange Update!

The Age UK London Opinion Exchange is a new website from Age UK London. It is part of the organisation’s ‘Fit 4 Purpose’ project, which is funded by London Councils.

The Opinion Exchange features opinion pieces and discussion forums to trigger debate and ensure older people’s organisations are able to respond to the changing needs of their users.

The Opinion Exchange has seen several fantastic articles go online in the last month. There have been nine new opinions with contributions from Lynn Strother, Derek Freeman and Gordon Deuchars.

The articles include:

Opening Doors London Ambassadors: Derek Freeman tells us about the organisations ambassador scheme and their latest fundraising campaign, ‘Raise a Glass’.

Ageing Without Children or Family: This article looks at the issue of care for those who don’t have family to help with it.

National Care Home Open Day: This article gives details of the National Care Home Open Day on Friday 20th June.

Healthwatch Survey: We do occasionally share surveys from other organisations and Healthwatch England are currently running one asking questions about what happens after patients are discharged from hospital.
