Age UK London Opinion Exchange Update – September 2014

Welcome to the latest Age UK London Opinion Exchange Update!

The Age UK London Opinion Exchange is a new website from Age UK London. It is part of the organisation’s ‘Fit 4 Purpose’ project, which is funded by London Councils.

The Opinion Exchange features opinion pieces and discussion forums to trigger debate and ensure older people’s organisations are able to respond to the changing needs of their users.

The Opinion Exchange has seen several fantastic articles go online in the last month.

The articles include:

Switching Household Energy Tariffs: Lynn Strother explores research surrounding how easy it is to switch between energy suppliers.

The Care Act – A Missed Opportunity: Professor Martin Green OBE explains why he feels the Care Act was a missed opportunity.

What is an Accessible Bus Stop: Gordon Deuchars asks what an accessible bus stop is and provides information for a new Transport for London consultation on the subject.
