Members of the Richmond upon Thames Forum for Older People had a very busy stall at the Richmond ‘Full of Life’ day. The day was for older residents of Richmond offering drama displays, lots of stalls with useful information and many freebees, delicious cup cakes, raffles, demonstrations and lunch. There was transport provided to and from the event to the station. A very useful place for recruiting new members.
Kensington & Chelsea Forum for Older Residents celebrated on the 4th October ‘Highlighting Achievements’ with Baroness Hanham CBE – Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
So what did you do?
We would also like your views – Do you think it is right the older people have a special ‘Older People’s day’? Do you think it raises a positive profile of older people? Do you think there should be larger celebrations such as The Mayor of London holding a special celebration as there is for LGBT people? Should the media get more involved? Maybe it should be a Bank Holiday so that all generations can celebrate the day?
