NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) is looking for older people who use homecare services, and/or carers, to join a Homecare Guidance Development Group. More information is given below and in the website link attached, and you can also contact Barbara Meredith, Barbara.Meredith@nice.org.uk if you have questions not answered on the website. Please contact NICE on the details supplied, not Age UK London.

The following information is directly from NICE:

“Recruitment is open until  24 September, and we would very much welcome applications both from older people who use homecare services, and/or from carers.  We do offer support to enable people with different needs to take part – for instance if someone needs support from a carer to be able to attend the meetings, we would ensure the carers’ costs were covered.  Similarly carers’ costs at home could be covered, up to a maximum of £60 per day.”
