Lewisham Pensioners Forum are running an event entitled ‘Dealing with Dementia’ on Wednesday 27th January, 2016.

The event will run from 10am until 12.30pm and will be taking place at Civic Suite, Lewisham Town Hall, Catford, London SE6 4RU.

We all know of someone, or have someone in the family, with dementia. We often don’t recognise the symptoms or know how to deal with the person showing symptoms.

At this meeting Peter Todd of Bromley and Lewisham Healthwatch will demystify the myth and give tips on how to engage with people and reduce anxiety or possible tense situations.

Dr Alice Mills, Ros Tuerk and Nuala Conlan of the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust  will talk about the services provided by the SLaM Trust.

If people are interested in attending then please register on the eventbrite page.

You do not have to live in Lewisham to attend!
