We are always hearing about how London has a housing crisis. The Mayor of London has published for consultation  a Draft Interim Housing Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) showing standards which are expected to apply to new housing in London. Consultation is open until 7 August.

One of the GLA’s aims in this document is to make housing provision more suited to the needs of an increasing older population in London. If you want to look at the Mayor’s consultation document you can see it here:

What do you think are the most important things that need to be remembered in building new homes and neighbourhoods in London? What do you think is missing at the  moment? Or are there features in some homes or some places that you think are really good and should more widespread?

Age UK London will be responding to this consultation by the end of July, so if you get in touch by the 27th we can include your views!
