Wanted: Older Renters’ Experiences

March 28th, 2017 | Posted by Portia Msimang in Housing | Older People

The experiences of older renters are often forgotten in the current conversation around life in the private rented sector and – like you – Renters’ Rights London believes that older renters’ voices must be heard.

Therefore, Renters’ Rights London is creating an audio project alongside volunteers from City University Journalism course. These audio clips will be accompanied by a photograph: This could be of the interviewee themselves; a possession of their choosing; or perhaps a favourite place in their neighbourhood (or something else entirely if the interviewee prefers). The photograph will then be uploaded to a dedicated space on our website.

Renters’ Rights London are keen to speak to as many people and record as many experiences as possible. Most of the recording will happen in the next two weeks but we can arrange dates after that, if anyone wishes to contribute later.

If you are interested in taking part in this project, please contact Project Co-ordinator Portia Msimang by email – portia@cfpt.org.uk.
